REGISTER NOW: Boxing Ontario Memberships Now Available for 2026-2027 Season

September 1, 2026

The 2026-2027 boxing season is officially underway. Now is the best time to register or renew your membership with Boxing Ontario, ensuring you can fully participate in the exciting season ahead and maximize the value of your membership.

Memberships are open to all β€” whether you’re a competitive or non-competitive athlete (all ages), a coach, an official, or a boxing club.

Boxing Ontario membership offers a recognized pathway to train, spar, and/or compete, opportunities such as tournament registration, club competitions, and sparring sessions/special event invites β€” all backed by insurance coverage.

  • Important: New competitive athletes or those who haven’t been members consecutively must maintain an active membership for at least 90 days before competing in sanctioned events. Please see below for additional details.
  • If you’re registering as an athlete to spar or compete you must complete your yearly medical
  • If you don’t wish to compete, you can still register as a recreational athlete
  • Your membership supports the development and safety of Olympic-style boxing in Ontario

New Members:

All individuals registering with Boxing Ontario for the first time must complete a minimum 90-day waiting period before becoming eligible to compete in any club competitions or tournaments. All registered athletes must be associated with a member club.

πŸ₯Š Sparring During the Waiting Period

New members are permitted to spar during the 90-day period, provided they are registered under the appropriate membership category that allows sparring.

πŸ” Upgrading Membership

If a member initially registers under a Recreational or Non-Competitive Sparring membership and later upgrades their membership, the 90-day waiting period does NOT restart.

This policy ensures all new members are properly insured and receive sufficient training before entering competition.

Renewing Members:

If you are renewing your membership, you must have been continuously registered without any gaps. For example, if you were not registered for the 2024–2025 season, the 90-day waiting period will apply to you as well.

These guidelines are in place to prioritize boxer safety, proper development, and compliance with insurance requirements.
