Four Ontario athletes from the Canadian national team will compete tonight, September 19, in a dual match against members of Team USA at the prestigious Melee Gala in Winnipeg, MB.
Mckenzie Wright (51kg) – INS Montreal
Max Tomines (55kg) – Champion Boxing, Tomines Boxing
Viktoria Penney (75kg) – Sully’s Boxing Gym
Umar Carcamo (80kg) – King of the Ring
On Team Canada’s coaching staff, Ontario will be represented Coach Yulissa Agudelo from London, ON who is guiding the team with Coach Dylan Martin in this exciting event.
The Melee Gala, hosted by United Boxing, is a premier fundraising event in Winnipeg that showcases high-level Olympic-style boxing. The event features top Canadian athletes from the national team going head-to-head with other top international teams, making it a thrilling watch for boxing fans.
Rounding out the Team Canada roster are Florence Belle Germaine (60kg) and Yaccine Benaoudia (65kg).
The event will be live-streamed on Millions.co, with the first bell scheduled for 7:30 pm ET.
