Boxing Ontario’s High Performance Committee Sets Sights on 2027 National Championships with New Training Camp Series

May 25, 2026

Boxing Ontario’s High Performance (HP) Committee has created a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting athletes’ preparation for the 2027 National Championships.

The HP Training Camp Series runs monthly from April to December 2026, and the most recent camp was held at Kingsway Boxing Club on May 17, 2026.

These camps offer comprehensive training experiences, including fitness testing, boxing drills and conditioning, skill development sessions, rules and strategy workshops, sparring, and nutrition education. They are open to eligible U17, U19, and U23 athletes, including national champions, provincial champions, provincial silver medalists, and wild card athletes from the previous U17, U19, and U23 National Championships in Calgary.

To maximize participation across Ontario, the camps are held at various locations. The inaugural camp took place at Boomerz Boxing in London, and the next session is scheduled at Brantford Blackeye Boxing Club at the end of June.

Thank you to the HP Committee for executing these camps, to Kingsway Boxing and Boomerz Boxing for hosting the latest camps, and to the athletes’ personal coaches for their ongoing support.
