June 15, 2026 | TORONTO, ON. — Boxing Ontario is proud to sanction the province’s inaugural all-female boxing tournament, Athena’s Reign, on June 19-21, 2026 in Mississauga, ON. This historic event, hosted by the Athena Foundation, will be held at German Canadian Club Hansa (Hansa Haus: 6650 Hurontario Street) and will bring together talented athletes from across Canada to compete and to celebrate female boxing.
One of the Athena Foundation’s key mandates is to provide more experience and opportunities for women through competition. Athena’s Reign builds on the success of the annual club competition known as Women’s Reign and marks its evolution into full-scale tournament. This new format promises increased competition, heightened excitement, and a larger platform for female athletes.
As part of the event, Boxing Ontario’s Female Development Committee (FDC), in collaboration with Athena’s Reign, will host an all-female sparring session on Sunday, June 21, from 9am-11am. This session is open to boxers of all categories, including those not competing in the tournament. Registration for this sparring session is available on Boxing Ontario’s website.
The general tournament schedule is as follow:
Session 1: Friday, June 19, 2026 at 6pm ET
Session 2: Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1pm ET
Session 3: Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 6pm ET
Female Sparring: Sunday, June 21 at 9am ET
